Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
BlindsHive (“BlindsHive,” “we,” “us”) provides software for window-covering dealerships: quoting, product catalogs, customer portals, invoicing, payments, scheduling, and analytics. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites and the BlindsHive application (together, the “Service”).
The short version
We collect only what we need to run the Service. We do not store payment card numbers or other sensitive financial data — online payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We do not sell your data or your customers’ data to anyone, and we never will.
Information you provide
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and business details. As you use the Service you may add business records such as product catalogs, pricing, quotes, invoices, appointments, and contact information for your own customers (names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses). You control this content; we host and process it only to provide the Service to you.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or store payment card numbers, bank account numbers, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal data. When you or your customers pay online, the transaction is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor; we receive only confirmation of the payment and non-sensitive metadata (such as the amount, date, and last four digits of the card). Stripe’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Information collected automatically
Like most services, we collect basic technical information when you use BlindsHive: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs (pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps). We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service — for example, to detect abuse, debug problems, and understand which features matter.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- process transactions through our payment processor;
- send service communications such as receipts, appointment confirmations, and reminders you configure;
- respond to your support requests;
- protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and security threats; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Your customers’ information
When you store your customers’ contact details in BlindsHive, you remain the controller of that data — we process it only on your instructions to deliver the Service (for example, sending a quote link or an appointment confirmation you initiate). We do not market to your customers, and we do not use their information for any purpose of our own.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers needed to run BlindsHive — such as Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting provider, email delivery, and SMS delivery (if you enable text reminders) — and only to the extent required to provide the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BlindsHive or others. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit parts of the Service.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal or accounting obligations. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@blindshive.com.
Security
We protect your data with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and routine monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you of any breach affecting your information as required by law.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
